About our services
Worship is a central part of the life and activity at Trinity. Worship is one of the main times where we gather together as a community to learn about and praise God through Jesus Christ. Everyone is welcome to worship at Trinity! If you are part of a family, we encourage you to all worship together.
Worship Services
Trinity offers a variety of styles of worship experiences, traditional, contemporary, and mixed. On Sunday mornings we offer two worship services at 8:00 am and 9:30 am, these are usually traditional style services. On Wednesday nights from September through May we offer a 6:15 pm service, this is a “leaner” worship service (approximately 30 minutes), less formal, and more contemporary in style.
Liturgy
Trinity’s worship experiences, whatever style, generally follow an ancient pattern, a pattern which is now common to all “liturgical” churches. For example, the Scripture readings are taken from the Revised Common Lectionary (New Revised Standard Version) which means one would hear these same texts read in Roman Catholic, Episcopalian, Presbyterian, and Methodist churches on that day. This means, too, that we observe church seasons and festival days celebrating events in the life of Jesus or the Church.
Holy Communion
This event, celebrating Christ’s promised presence with us in bread and wine for “forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation” is normally on the first and third Sundays of the month, many festival days, and the first Wednesday of the month. All the baptized who hunger and thirst for God’s love and forgiveness are welcome to receive the bread and wine of Holy Communion among us.
