WORSHIP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Trinity encourages members to assist in our worship services by volunteering to participate in any of the following capacities. This is a good way to get to know other members of the congregation andprovide a vital service to the congregation.

Greeters
The greeters' primary function is to greet people at Trinity's entrances as worshippers arrive and depart from Sunday morning services and offer directions to locations within the building.

Ushers
The usher's primary function is to welcome worshippers, distribute bulletins, help people find a place to sit, collect the offering and usher people during communion. After the service, ushers replace hymnals and clean up loose bulletins in preparation for the next service.

Lay Readers
Lay readers read the assigned readings for the day at designated times during the service.

Altar Care
Altar care volunteers are responsible for preparing the elements of Holy Communions. A very explicit, but not difficult program of rules is provided. Volunteers prepare the wine and wafers/bread for communion and are also responsible for clean up following services.

TV Camera Operator
The TV Camera Operator tapes the 8:00am service and then it is shown on Cable Channel 7 at 9:30am on Sunday morning. It is shown again at 5:00pm on Monday evenings.

Hymn Selection
A committee meets on a quarterly basis to select hymns for worship services. The selection committee consists of a Worship & Music committee member, a volunteer from the congregation, the organist and a pastor.

If you have questions regarding the opportunities available through the Worship & Music Committee or would be interested in volunteering, please contact the church office at 934-4786.
